What Is A Green Product?

A green product is a sustainable product designed to minimize its environmental impacts during its whole life-cycle and even after it’s of no use.

Green products are usually identified by having two basic goals – reducing waste and maximizing resource efficiency. They are manufactured using toxic-free ingredients and environmentally-friendly procedures and are certified by recognized organizations like Energy star, Forest Stewardship Council, etc.

About the company

Satya was founded in 1964 by Shri Satyam Setty. Unfortunately, when he passes his two sons decided to go in different directions. Most who aware of Satya’s story knows that the judge gave both brothers the right to create their families craft.

The elder brother, Nagaraj Setty, moved his operations to Mumbai, these incense products are made by machine. This brother slightly made adjustments to the original hand rolled incense although, the smell to both incense is very similar to each other.

The Avalon Day Spa does not state one is better than the other, only that the Satya products it imports are from the younger brother.

The younger brother, Balkrishna Setty, stayed in Bangalore and decided to continue to make their families products with the traditional hand rolled incense method. Incense made from the Bangaluru / Bangalore factories will have packaging with Mfrs. Shrinivas Sugandhalaya BNG with the only address being in Bangalore. A gold seal and a green earth leaf will be on every box of incense.

Authenticity

Because both brothers were awarded the right to use the Shrinivas Sugandhalaya name and recipes, it created much confusion. Both brothers are now in competition, and counterfeits have flooded the market.  

Any products that The Avalon Day Spa sells are imported from the Bangaluru / Bangalore factories and are authentic and have Green Product Certification.
